Our sustainability initiatives
At Mother Earth, our love for nature shapes how we make food and how we care for the places it comes from. Being a part of The Arnott's Group means we contribute and uphold the Group's broader sustainability commitments — helping us protect what matters today and for generations to come. Learn more here.
Supporting Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari education program
Mother Earth is proud to support the education program at Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari, a world‑class ecological sanctuary set within 3,400 hectares of restored native bush.
The sanctuary provides a safe haven for a wide range of New Zealand’s native and endangered species, including kiwi and kākāpō, and restoring natural habitats.
By supporting Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari education program, Mother Earth helps to educate future generations about native wildlife and biodiversity.
New Zealand’s Native Mānuka Trees
Mother Earth honey products use Mānuka honey sourced from Mānuka forests owned and managed across New Zealand by Prolife Foods Ltd. Prolife Foods sells honey products under licence from Arnott’s, who owns the Mother Earth brand.
To date, over 2 million Mānuka trees have been planted, supporting healthy bee colonies and the ongoing production of Mānuka honey, while also benefiting the wider ecosystem. These forests provide habitat for native bird species such as kiwi, kererū and tauhou.
This initiative managed by Prolife Foods supports responsible honey production and the regeneration of New Zealand’s native forests.
